The band
Rock Fuel was formed in 2005 as a nameless four man rock band, playing at several pubs, restaurants and other happenings. As the local crowd liked their show they began to write their own songs and develop their own sound. At this time they started to use the name ‘Rock Fuel’ and have stuck to it since.
The rocking Vaasa band is working their way by combining old school riffs, driven drums and action rock lyrics, with much feeling and heart. Influenced by many bands and songs from over the last 40 years they try to not leave out any part when writing their own songs. The combination of love and respect for the rock n’ roll music gives Rock Fuel the genuine feeling a good rock band must have.
As a strong going live band they don’t leave the crowd unsatisfied and are always doing 110% on the stage. During 2007 - 2010 they played a lot of live gigs in Finland and made a name. They did also pay a visit to England during the summer 2008 for several gigs in the Northwest. The English crowd loved the band and wanted them back so much that another tour was booked for March 2010.
In the October 2008 Rock Fuel released the 10-track demo album “ACES” to get some of the songs out to their fans. This turned out to be a smart move as during the first months of 2009 Rock Fuel won a radio band contest, did several radio interviews, recorded a music video and played on both bigger and smaller stages. During the later part of the 2009 the fans asked for new songs and that’s when the 3-song single “Born to Go” was released.
At this time the band is writing new material for a new full length album and many of the songs for the coming release are already ready. During the writing process they are also doing some live shows and are booked for gigs in both Sweden and Finland.
